Sharon Shenkar, Executive Director - Sharon had an early life goal to uplift people through music and arts.

From an early age, she performed consistently in musical and dramatic plays and choral works in New York, including work with her former teacher and mentor, Gene Feist, founder of the Tony-award winning, "Roundabout Theater" in NYC.  

She performed as a singer in and around Chicago, and performed lead roles in several plays including an award-winning musical, “I Take It Black” (Nancy Rawles), co-starring with Micheal Grief (RENT) and worked as a dancer and choreographer.

She Also studied and apprenticed with the world-renowned vocal educator and performer Jeannie Deva. Sharon is a lead singer and a co leader of " Sharp Cats" -a New England based band and production company.

I addition to her vast artistic experience she brings with her more than 20 years of business, consulting, executive experience, along with experience coaching corporate and non-profit executives and managers as well as many small business owners.

All of the above, plus her warm caring and uplifting personality make her invaluable as the executive director of Shenkar Music.
